SUBMISSION GUIDE FOR 2013 PARTICIPANTS:
Please download and fill out the submission form and read the submission guide below. As usual, thanks for participating!

Visual Art and Works to be Displayed:
This year, we would love for as many people as possible to hang their own work. Please come hang your work at Studio 34 between 1pm and 6pm on Friday the 15th. Please also bring your completed submission form. We’ll provide supplies like pushpins, nails, hammers, clips, etc., for those who need them. (But bring your own if you can! Please use the smallest holes possible, and do not use anything that will damage the walls, such as double-sided tape)

If you are not available on Friday, you can drop off your work on Wednesday February 13th from 7 to 9pm at Studio 34 with your completed submission form. In this case members of the Artclash collective will be hanging your work for you. Please make our job as easy as you can! The fewer things we have to hang, the better--for example, if you have 31 separate pieces of paper, put them on one or two large posters, or mount them to a canvas (with a wire for hanging!), or put them all in a book for display on a table.(As usual there will be about 5 large tables for books, sculpture, etc.) Keep in mind there is always a LOT of artwork, and wall space is limited.

Please arrange to take your artwork home at the end of the show on Saturday night or pick it up from Studio 34 on Sunday the 17th between 2 and 5pm. If you can't make either of those times, you are responsible for contacting corey@artclash.com to arrange alternate pick-up. We cannot be held responsible for artwork that is left at Studio 34 after 5pm on February 17th.

The Fun-A-Day Lite show will be a sampling of pieces from Fun-A-Day 2013 that will hang in the hallway of Studio 34 for four weeks after the regular show. If you would like to be a part of it, please choose and label 1 to 5 pieces of your project to leave behind (1 for large pieces, 5 for tiny items). Note that work must hang easily on the wall without leaving large holes. These pieces will be taken down on March 17th, and we will email you at the address listed on your submission form with a pick-up time. We cannot be held responsible for work that is not picked up on March 17th.

Writing Projects:
Writers are also invited to share their work. On Saturday February 16th, we will have a reading event from 5:30-7:00pm. Email by February 12th if you’d like to read aloud excerpts from your project. (Written work is of course also welcome at the show! Please drop off zines, books, framed haikus, etc. at the same times as visual art.)

Performers:
If your project involves music, dance, or other performance and you’d like to perform during the show, please contact Corey at . If you have work in CD or mp3 format that you’d like to play during the show, either on computers with headphones or over the sound system, please contact Mike at .

Thanks for your participation!

love,
the artclash collective
